A simple browser extension to add shows to your local SickChill installation.
You can install the SickChill Plugin directly from the Chrome Web Store. Please note that there might be a delay between the release of new features and the availability of the updated plugin on the store.
If you prefer, you can install the extension manually by downloading the source code from GitHub. This is useful for testing new features or for development purposes.
This is a "helper" extension that simplifies adding new TV shows to SickChill. When you are on a supported site like IMDb, the extension will add a small SickChill icon next to the show's title.
Alternatively, you can simply highlight the name of any TV show on any website, right-click, and select the SickChill option from the context menu.
Both methods act as a shortcut. When used, a new tab will open directly to the "Add Show" page in your SickChill, and the search for the show will start automatically. It's that simple!
The setup is done on the extension's options page. Here, you'll provide general information and configure which sites the extension should work on.
You need to enter the address of your SickChill server and your API key. You can provide both an external and an internal address, and the extension will automatically use the one that is reachable.
The extension is flexible and allows you to define exactly which pages it should activate on, and how it should extract the name of a show. You can set up rules for sites like IMDb, TVMaze, TheTVDB, and others.
To help you get started, you can download a pre-configured settings file with the IMDb example shown above. Go to the extension's Options page, click "Restore Settings", and select the downloaded file.
Important: Importing this file will overwrite and delete all your current settings. Make sure to back up your configuration first if you want to save it.
For this extension to work, you must have a running installation of SickChill. This is a fantastic tool for managing TV shows and is required for this extension to function.
